Graduation Time!

We have a preschool graduate!  Isabelle had a cute graduation ceremony at her preschool.  She was so proud and so were we.  She has done so well in preschool and we know she will do great in Kindergarten.

Time to Dance Part 2

Anya was up next.  We didn't know what to expect since at the Christmas recital she was scared and didn't dance right away and that was in a much smaller setting.  I was the stage mom so I was with her little class backstage all the way till they went on stage.  I got to sit in the front row during her performance.  She walked right on stage and to her spot and as soon as Bibidi Bobidi Boop came on she started dancing.  I was one proud momma as she did every step of the dance.  I couldn't believe how much progress she has made.  

 Not only did she dance, she also had a smile on her face.

The girls had their first big ballet and tap recital.  At Christmas they had a small one for just their class, but the Spring recital is the big deal.  They were in 2 different sessions, which was nice because they were able to see each other perform.  Isabelle was first.  She did her ballet piece to Tinker Bell's "Fly to Your Heart" and her tap piece was to "Zip-a-dee-doo-dah."  We were so impressed with how much she has learned over the year.  Back in January she was bumped up to a higher level class that you can only be in with a teacher recommendation.  She did great with it.  She has some natural talent and we love watching her dance.  All day before the recital she was feeling sick and in bed.  But we said a prayer with her and she had great faith that she would be ok.  We held our breathe as she got on the stage, but she just smiled and danced like she was feeling great.  We were so proud of her.

The new norm

Anya has been struggling with a chronic cough for a while now.  After listening to Anya's lungs, our primary care doctor sent us to a specialist.  At first the specialist said she didn't hear anything, but after having Anya do a treatment on the nebulizer everything was stirred up so now she could hear all the rattling and she was diagnosed with Asthma and Allergies.  

So it looks like this is the new norm, nebulizer treatments once or twice a day and a few other meds.  We just want to get this little girl better!

Oops!

So I've been cutting Charles' hair for a little while now.  and it seems to get better each time… till tonight.  I was almost completely done and I saw an area I just wanted to clean up.  I grabbed the clippers and put it to his head and we both realized at the same moment what had happened.  Charles' face froze and he said "NO YOU DIDN'T!"  I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.  I felt so bad.  I had forgotten to put the shoe back on the clippers and gave him a nice bald spot.  At this point we were committed and I had to give Charles a nice Army cut.  Fortunately he was able to laugh about it, once the initial shock wore off.  Lucky for us hair grows back and to look on the bright side, now he can go a little longer before his next haircut!

Sunday Best

Since we were away for Easter the kids got to wear their Easter clothes 2 weeks later.  With the Azaleas in full bloom and the kids looking so sweet I had to capture the moment.  One day I will get a good picture of all of them together!
