The Cruise is on!

Typically this time of year our family heads up to NYC and we go to the US Open and see some shows and shop of course.  This year we decided to change things up a bit.  How about a cruise?  Sounded like a great idea...till we met Gustav.  I guess it could be expected considering it is the heart of hurricane season and almost every time we go to NYC there is a hurricane hitting our home.  So, after many questions of whether or not we would be going on our cruise tomorrow, the verdict is in...yes!    The cruise line said everything is a go!  Our cruise leaves out of Tampa (the west coast of Florida) and goes into the Gulf (home of hurricane Gustav).  We are supposed to go to Grand Cayman and Cozumel, but the cruise line said that there may be an itinerary change, yeah, you think?  We wont find out where we are going till we get on the ship.  Maybe we will just stay in Tampa, which isn't terrible considering one of the best parts of cruising is the food and we will still get that!  My guess is that we will sail along the coast of Florida and make a stop in the Keys and hope that Gustav is then out of our way and hasn't damaged all the islands too bad so we can go on over.  Time will tell.  But don't you worry I bought 3 packs of Dramamine today.  If you see news reports of the next "Titanic" you can be comforted in knowing that we were part of history!
