1 Month old

Isabelle is now one month old! It seems that time suddenly accelerates! Isabelle is still a very good baby and gets her mommy and daddy to laugh a lot. Recently, we went to my work Christmas party and dressed her in a cute Christmas outfit. She had a large bow in her hair. When Becca got out of the car, she found Isabelle dressed up as Zorro, sleeping in her car seat. Needless to say the bow was a little big!
She got to see Santa for the first time at the KPMG Christmas party.

Izorobelle!

3 weeks old

Isabelle is 3 weeks old today. It has gone by fast and slow at the same time. The recovery has been a lot harder than I could ever have imagined, but fortunately I have family here who has helped me get through it. The last few days I have started feeling better and I have gotten out a bit. If my home scale is right, Isabelle has put on about a pound from her original birth weight ...she is a GOOD eater. Her biggest accomplishment is sleeping through the night. At least I consider it through the night. For the past week she has been going to sleep around 11 PM and then sleeps till about 6:00 AM. Then she eats and goes back to sleep till about 9:30 or 10:00. So I really can't complain about that. We absolutely love having her here in our home. It has been an adjustment, but a wonderful one.

Isabelle's birthday - 11/19/2007

Isabelle Marie Danguy, our little angel, finally made her grand entrance into the world on Monday, November 19, 2007 at 11:52 PM at her Nana's house in Oviedo, FL. There to welcome her were her mommy, daddy, Nana, Aunt Carol and a very helpful team of midwifes. A very special thank you to Diane, Karen and April who assisted Rebecca and Isabelle through a difficult labor.
Isabelle measured 19 and a half inches and weighed 8 lbs 7 oz. at birth but lost about 3 oz. of meconium shortly after birth, making the scenery quite messy. She was welcomed in the world with tears of joy from all those present and is already loved by her family and many friends.

Heat vs. Magic (Preseason)

Yesterday we went to the see the Miami Heat. Bill got us some awesome tickets and after-game grounds passes. It was great to see him and hear that all of his family is doing great. He gave us some updates on the health situation of the Heat players. As we were chatting court-side, "Zo" came out to meet some of his friends. Bill introduced us and Zo immediately noticed Becca's little bump. He congratulated her and asked if the baby was to be a boy or a girl. After I told him it was going to be a little girl, he looked at me and said "Well, I sure hope she doesn't look like you, but more like her!"... We then took a picture with him. Actually Jimmy Buffett's daughter took the picture for us. It was a fun experience and yes... he is really tall! By the way Orlando beat the Heat bad but Miami had the excuse of letting the JV team play. Apparently, 5 players have to be cut out before the season starts. Shaq stayed in the locker room to work out and get massages while D-Wade stayed in sunny Miami recovering from his shoulder and knee surgery.

T minus ???

One of the reasons we are starting this post is to keep you all up to date with our now more exciting family life. For those that count the days before Isabelle supposed arrival, we are 32 days away. Now there is a trend of babies in the family that enjoyed the extended rest and comfort of the mother's womb . Thankfully we have heard of ways to naturally induce labor and prevent those 10 months pregnancies.
Becca and I have decided to have Isabelle born naturally in our home. Since both Becca and Isabelle are perfectly healthy, we decided that the stress of a hospital would not be necessary. We also believe that Becca will have better support here at home than she could ever get at the hospital. We have been consulting with a midwife for couple of months now and we feel at ease with her and her staff. Laurie is also very knowledgeable and qualified when it comes to baby delivery, having 7 of her own, delivered the last 3 at home, assisted 2 of her grand-children to come into the world, and helped many more women deliver babies at home. We are both very excited for our little angel to join our family and feel very blessed by all of your support and love.

Our first blog!

So we have finally joined the modern world of technolgy. A special thank you is in order for Carol who set this all up for us so we don't have any excuse. Now it is just up to us to post.

As most of you probably know, Charles and I are expecting a baby girl, Isabelle Marie, next month. She is due November 8th, but knowing my family I wouldn't be surprised if she is late. We are so eager for her arrival. I figure this little blog site will be a great way to keep everyone updated on what's going on and all the fun details. I hope everyone enjoys it.
