Now this is SNOW!

I guess the last snowfall was just a warm up for this snow storm.  We had gone down to the Waxhaw Furniture Factory Outlet World and when we came out the snow started coming down hard!  We were all so excited.  Of course when we got home the kids had to have snowball fights.

 We got a message that church was going to be cancelled because of the snow, so we had the Young's over and enjoyed the day.  The funny part about them canceling church is that the snow was almost completely melted by the time church would have started. The kids managed to scrape up the remaining snow and make a little snowman. 

Valentine's Dance Chez Nous

Last year Isabelle's preschool had a Father Daughter Valentine's Dance.  Since the girls' new preschool didn't have one we decided to create our own.  The girls were so excited for this surprise dance with their Papa.  We decorated and the girls got all ready in their beautiful dresses.

Charles was surprised when he got home and saw all the decorations and heard the music playing.  I had created a little slideshow with pictures of our family and some of our favorite songs.

 These girls sure do love and adore their Papa!

I would say our Valentine's Dance was a hit.  We may have to do this again!

First Snow

One of the many perks of moving to Charlotte is that we finally get to experience the seasons.  The kids have eagerly anticipated the snow and it finally came.  Not a lot, but some none the less.  

 The snow hit late at night, but that didn't stop me from getting Isabelle out of bed to go outside and play.

 There was some snow left in the morning, although it was a bit icy.

Carol and her family came to visit us for the long weekend.  We got to celebrate Brian's birthday and go to the Whitewater Center.  Fun weekend!

Our little Snow White

If you know Anya, you know that she loves Snow White.  So it was only fitting that our little Anya had a Snow White birthday party.  We were pleasantly surprised that so many of her friends were in town and able to come considering her party was just a few days after Christmas.

Our Anya sure does keep us on our toes.  This girl is so smart, she is like a little attorney, always arguing her case. She is our talker.  We always say we know she is asleep when she stops talking. She is doing great with her first year of preschool and ballet.  We are actually quite impressed how much more graceful she has gotten over the past few months since she started taking ballet.  She loves to sing and dance and is our resident comedian.  We love our Anya girl and are so proud of her!
